Viral Infection

My six yr. old son has developed a rash all over his body does not itch. He is currently taking amoxicillin strep throat. He is on his 7th day on antibiotic. dr. says rash is a viral infection. Is it related to strep throat? How long does it last? can I do it?

The rash could be viral or it could be a reaction to the antibiotic. It may last up to 3 weeks. If it worsens, call your doctor back, but he will probably have you stop the amoxicillin.
