postherpatic neuroalgia

I have had herpes (sacral nerve root) since 1974 experience outbreaks approximately 6x's/yr. When not having an outbreak I will have sharp pains in my lumbar a tock. Is posrpatic neuralgia or more likely pain related to herniated disc. Also, does posrpatic neuralgia even occur herpes??? One or question, do know about Choraphor in tx of Herpes???

I have not heard of Choraphor. I have not heard of post herpetic neuralgia with herpes simplex, it is described with shingles. However, it is possible that witht he frequency of the outbreaks, the nere is sensitive. You can try suppressive therapy with an antiviral. That means taking a pill daily to prevent the herpes outbreaks. You can also supplement with lysine and vitamin C.
