doctor I went to told me I had HPV, low-grade squamous cells showed up in my pap. I am 6 months pregnant my paps have always turned out normal. just recently y turned up abnormal. When I nger i had shingles, have always had warts on my hs, about 40 on each h. when i became sexually active warts disaped n came back several months later. When i became pregnant y disaped again have never came back. I am wondering if it is possible i could have always carried hpv virus? Has re ever been anyone has carried HPV virus since birth? shingles related to hpv virus?

Shingles and warts/HPV are totally different. No relation. There are some people who are exposed to HPV at birth, by passing through a birth canal with active virus. I doubt this is the case. You would have found out about this long ago. THe wart virus that causes warts on your hands is a different strain than that which causes abnormal PAP's. In fact, the virus that causes changes in the squamous cells often does not even produce genital warts so you would not know you ever were exposed unless you had routine PAP's. You gynecologist will advise you on what is best in your particular situation.
