Sorry for the delay, there is one doctor who answers these questions and I was out of town and did not have internet access. Yes this sounds like shingles and I would recommend treatment with antivirals. I hope you are doing better.

i had something similar happen to me. i got my eyes shaved with a razor and had a rash break out in that area. then it went from being red to pus like blisters forming. anti-biotic cream did not help or hydrogen peroxide. i went to the doctor. i was wondering why is the infected area swelling and as it heals why is that area itching. i also feel like all over my body i am itching. what do you think? is this part of the healing process? she said it was an antiviral--how did this happen. does the razor have anything to do wiht shingles?

A razor has nothing to do with shingles. THe shingles virus attacks the nerve and so it is normal to have either pain or itching after the rash has gone and as it is healing. I do not know why your whole bosy is itching. As I have said before, B complex vitamins can help with itching and it is worth a try.
