primary melanoma brainrecently we operated on a 55 years old male with (lt.)frontal lobe tumor about 10cm in size which turned out to be malig.melanoma.there are no primary skin/rectal/ocular sites.is there any report of pri.cns melanoma if so let me know the ref.what next for this patient.i am based in rural india.
Re: Re: Re: primary melanoma brainIt sounds like he has had a thorough examination , which did not find any primary melanoma sites. Such patients may actually have a regressed primary melanoma or a visceral primary melanoma. I do not know if you will ever find out. Try this reference: Elder, DE Metastatic melanoma, in Pigment Cell, vol 8, 1987 p 182.
