melanoma of liver stage IVMy 26 year old son in law was diagnosed with melanoma of liver stage IV.
The CT showed : In the liver multiple Hypodense lesions varying in size from 1cm to 3cm. The largest in the caudete lobe. What is the best treatment for this type of cancer? Thank you, Kerfrana
Re: melanoma of liver stage IVMD Anderson Cancer Center has developed a biochemotherapy approach to metastatic melanoma. It consists of both chemotherapy and IL2. In general, biological therapy such as IL2 and interferon have been used with some success. The combination of chemotherapy and biological therapy appears to have improved response rates. Thank you for using oncologychannel and good luck.
