Shingles to Chickenpox

Husband has shingles. Taking acyclovir pills,zovirax cream. Has had blisters for 3 days. Blisters have scabbed over. Have 6 month baby.
Can she contract chickenpox by being in contact with husband.

Yes. This is especially true if she is exposed to the actual rash. At this point, your husband is probably not contageous, but she could have been exposed prior. Watch out for any chicken pox over the next 2 weeks. Try to minimize contact with other children as if your baby gets chicken pox, she/he could be contageous before knowing it. Let your pediatrician know now, to be prepared. He/she will most likely not treat your baby with anything anyway.
