My six a half month old daughter has had a terrible diaper rash since she two weeks old. My doctor on maternity leave, so I have gone through f doctors nobody has been able to give me advice helps rash. I have tried countless ointment barrier creams, changed diapers 5 times, changed wipes 4 times, change her diaper approximately every h, air her bottom out several times a day extended periods. My regular pediatrician is now referring us to a dermatologist. can I do in meantime? Please help!

Try Acid Mantle cream, available in any pharmacy (or they can order it). Try applying cold milk on a washcloth and applying it to the skin for a few minutes. I think your best bet lies with a dermatologic evaluation.
