Post a new topicby Guest on Sun Jun 03, 2001 12:12 pm

Hi, My daughter born a mole on her labia, at first I told it a cafe aulet spot to ignore it. n I told it big should be removed. It size of r thumbnail on labia extended inside to labia minor. surgeon removed it in stages to acheive a nice closure. Well last surgery in November 2000 just last week I noticed two new spots, lighter n last time at incision line. Does she have to keep having cut out? first pathogy a melanocytic nevus last two were Spitz Nevus. When will it stop coming back, does she have to jeep having it removed? Thanks, Janet

It is not something serious or to worry about. When a surgeon removes it, we try to get clear margins so the lesion does not recur. However, despite this, there are sometimes bits still present under the skin and it does come back. Discuss with the dermatolgoist as to whether another procedure is necessary. Medically, I think it is safe to just watch it, but it is your decision.
