i want to know the long term effects of laser hair removal done over moles is it only discoloration or can it be precipitating factor for melanomas

It is discoloration, it won't cause melanoma but since it changes the moles appearance if the mole were to change on its own those changes maybe missed because the appearance of the mole has been changed by the laser

Hi,

I figure my case can be somewhat related to the previous inquiry. Anyway, I recently had my third laser hair removal session on my upper lip. I had a mole on the left side of my lip. The day after the session, I was trying to remove what felt like a dry skin/zit on that spot while riding the car. When I checked it out in the mirror when I got home, my mole was gone and there was a small and quite deep wound where the mole would have been. Should I be alarmed? Will it grow back? Help!!
