Fungal Infections

I am having a fungal infection in my right hand thumb. This has been there for 2-3 months, there is a fibrous growth under my nail and it was protruding a little more than its normal height for quite some time, now its not prtruding, I kept cutting my entire nail 2-3 times to remove its protrusion and so that it grows normally, but now though the protrusion is gone, it became yellow in colour.

One doctor prescribed Fuconazole and said take only one tablet, and it will get treated. Another doctor prescribed Griseofulvin( 1 tablet everyday for 5 days) , cetirizine(1 tablet everyday for 5 days) and pyrantal pamoate(3tablets once) , she also asked me to consult a skin doctor.

However I am scared of the side effects of all these antibiotics and have not taken anything as yet.

I wanted to get some topical treatment but the doctor said it won't help.

What should I do ? I want to take medicines as less as possible
