My bell’s palsy story, part I

Post a new topicby livingwith on Sun Oct 28, 2007 7:35 pm

I woke up Monday with Bell’s Palsy. I didn’t notice all at once. Slowly I put pieces of my morning together… putting on lipstick was strange, eating my oatmeal was a little weird, then standing in my work parking lot talking to a friend I noticed that I wasn’t able to squint my right eye against the sunshine. I could wink with the left but not with the right. Then I went to the bathroom and looked in the mirror and tried to move any part of the right side of my face, but ...Read the full article

Hi, I was wondering how you are doing now? I was just diagnosed late last night in the ER with BP. Late Friday night I felt a strange twitching in my right eye and thought nothing of it, then Saturday around lunchtime I was drinking from a straw and just felt funny. I noticed too like you that I was able to wink with my left eye, but not with my right eye. I looked in the mirror to notice that the right side of my face was not responding like the left was when I would smile, blink, yawn, etc. I went to the ER fearing a stroke although highly unlikely for my age (31). They told me it was BP and I was placed on steroids and anti-viral meds. I was wondering how you are now. Did you revover? Did you also try herbal remedies? Thanks for letting me know!
