scalp pimples

I have been dianosed with roceacia, and using tetracyline and metrogel to clear that up. That works great.!! The last 3 month i am having constant pimples on my scalp. They are very sore, red and sometimes with pus.?? Is this related to roceacia ?? outbreaks seem to be top of head, back of head and around ears?? any suggestions.. waiting for appt with skin specialist. my gp didn't know. thanks

It could be related to the rosacea, but the tetracycline should handle it. The skin doctor may want to switch antibiotics. You can also apply tea tree oil (from the health food store) every few nights or so, overnight into the scalp. In addition, shampoo with zinc shampoo and rotate that with salacylic acid shampoo.

This sounds a bit like scalp acne...with scalp acne you have to be very careful. As a matter of fact, I wrote an article on that and published it on goarticles. You can read it here:
