Hello..My name is Juan have been clear of Acne over a year now. I took Accutane 5 months completly satisfied results it gave me..After accutane my face began breaking out again very little in comparison to i had bee. I never had cystic Acne bee just regular z papules. Until about a day ago. A noticed a red bumpy a right next to my side burn by my upper cheek bone. It nt bright red or anything.. it some noticable. I had one of se bee a nurse told me to put a hot compress on it material in bump should go away...well first time it did..i noticed it going away in a day... now been two days red bump keeps getting redder is starting toi hurt. can be..Is it a cyst? My face is completly clear except one big bump ablout 3-4 mm in diameter it is driving me crazy. should i do. I hope it isnt an abcess or a cyst those take a long time to heal.. i have my spring mal to go to...Ive been so happy a clear face please Doctor is re anything to do? Thanks in advance Juan

This sounds like a depper infection in the hair follicle. The hot compresses are good, as they will bring the pus to the surface to drain. It may need to be injected with a little cortisone solution to calm the inflammation. It does not mean your acne is coming back.
