male monthly acne

Post a new topicby Guest on Fri Jun 22, 2001 2:26 pm

My boyfriend, who is 31, has a kind of acne that causes lesions that appear to be below the skin surface. I've noticed that he breaks out with these almost to the day every four weeks. Any explanation for this, and would this indicate an appropriate therapy?

I do not know about the timing of this. Perhaps they are due to hormone fluctuations. I would treat it like any other acne, and disregard the cyclic nature. Over the counter, he could try Nature's Cure. But if these are deep, he made need prescription medication.
